Dominique JEANSON, our chef, is an inspired cook! When he cooks, Brittany and the Mediterranean party together on your plate!
Every day at the Kastel*** in Bénodet in Finistère, this "manipulator of flavours" as he likes to call himself will create a cuisine for you which is light, sophisticated, generous and deliciously spiced!
Dominique Jeanson passionately loves his native Brittany, but as a man of taste he has also succumbed to the charms of the Mediterranean. And all to give us the greatest of pleasure!
His cuisine reflects the man himself: rooted in the Finistère region and Brittany, and enlightened by Mediterranean flavours!
As a globetrotter of gastronomy, he stopped off to work in the most prestigious establishments before returning to his home port.
At the Kastel*** in Bénodet, every day he will illustrate the most appetising of mottoes on your plate:
“Pretty to look at and very good to eat!”. In fact, he has learned from some of the greatest establishments that good flavours and aesthetic dishes go very well hand in hand.

Itinerary of a very pampered chef!
- A promising start at the Auberge Normande in Nantes,
- A return to the Auberge du Cheval Blanc in Carquefou (where he served his apprenticeship under the command of Monsieur Giraud),
- Set course for the Croisette in Cannes at the hotel Gray d’Albion, in the restaurant “Le Royal Gray” which has two Michelin stars, under the command of Monsieur Jacques Chibois. On the menu from our brilliant chef: numerous gala dinners, notably during the International Film Festival,
- Then he set off for Egypt, to the hotel Méridien in Cairo and its gastronomic restaurant “Le Champollion”. A founding experience if anything could be. Indeed it is here that his love of spices and Mediterranean flavours blossomed.
- Return to Europe: to Le Domaine de Divonne (Leading Hotels of the World, no less!). In this exceptional establishment his savoir-faire became gradually more refined every day.
- And then back to Brittany! Henceforth at the Kastel*** in Bénodet in Finistère, where the talent of Dominique Jeanson has fully unfolded ….
